Super Bantamweight contender Scott Quigg arrived in Los Angeles today, where he is training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym, home to Manny Pacquiao and many of the best boxers in the world.
Currently undefeated, British and WBA Inter-Continental Champion Quigg will be staying in Hollywood, where his trainer Joe Gallagher will join him at the Wild Card for part of the training camp.
Scott, rated #4 in the world by the WBA, will be in Los Angeles for about a month as part of his preparation for a rematch with former European and Commonwealth Champion Rendall Munroe, which is planned for November.
Quigg and Munroe engaged in a brief but thrilling contest for the Interim WBA title at Manchester’s Velodrome this past June before Munroe suffered a cut from an unintentional clash of heads that produced a three round Technical Draw.
A native of Bury, England, a town in the Greater Manchester area, 23 year old Quigg is undefeated in 24 bouts with 17 knockouts against one draw.
Recently, Quigg was featured in a promotional video that illustrates some of his achievements to date, training regime in the beautiful countryside of Lancashire and his thoughts on the upcoming Munroe rematch.
