This weekend there will be three World Boxing Association Title fight in three different locations. One of them will be 160-lbs title Unification starred by Felix Sturm from Germany.
Other title WBA fights will be between Gennady Golovkyn and Grzegorz Proksa, in New York; and in Osaka Teooarith Kokietgym will fight Nobuo Nashiro.
The battle between Sturm and the IBF Champion Daniel Geale, will be at Koenig Pilsener Arena, Oberhausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
WBA Middleweight Super Champion, Felix Sturm, has a record of 37 wins, two loses and two draws. He has knocked out 16 opponents, while the IBF champion has a record of 27-1, 15 Ko’s.
This will be the thirteenth title defense of the German champion who became champion in 2006, when he defeated Javier Castillejo.
Luis Pabon will be the referee of this fight.
At the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, New York, WBA 160 lbs champion Gennady Golovkyn, will fight the third rated contenter Grzegorz Proksa, from Poland.
Golovkyn has 23 wins, with 20 KO’s; while “Super G” Proksa has 28-1, 21 KO’S.
The third man will be Steve Smoger.
In Osaka, the Thai, Tepparith Kokietgym, King of the 115 pound division, will defend his title against the tenth contender Nobuo Nashiro, at the Sumiyoshi Sports Center of Osaka.
Nashiro has a record of 18 wins, 4 loses, 1 draw with 12 KO’s, while “Astro Boy” Kokietgym has a record of 20-2, 13 KO’s.
Silvestre Abainza will referee this battle.
