The penultimate weekend of the Irish Daily Star sponsored Elite National Championships yielded a third successive Joe Ward versus Ken Egan light-heavyweight final.
Egan, who was beaten by Ward in the 2011 and 2012 deciders, beat Davey Joe Joyce 13-7 last night to book his ticket into an unprecedented 13th final since 2001.
He’ll now meet Ward, who received a bye into the 81kg decider, next Friday.
