The Open Senior Cadet Competition concluded at Dublin’s Nationals Stadium today. The IABA are using the tournament as part of their selection process for June’s European Junior Championships in Russia.
Meantime, the Girls 1 to 6 Championships glove off at the National Stadium next Friday. Elsewhere this weekend, Eric Donovan’s Astana Arlans cruised into the 2012/13 World Series of Boxing final versus the Ukraine Otamans with a 5-0 rout of the Conrad Cummings’ Mexico Guerreros on Saturday.
The Otamans, who are seeking to become the third European side to win the prestigious trophy, beat Willie McLaughlin’s Italia Thunder, the defending champions, in the last-four.
The WSB final will be held over two days in Kazakhstan on May 10th/11th.
