Hobson was forced to pull out last week. Sky Sports broadcasted the card live in the UK.
The man drafted to replace Hobson, Vincenzo Rossitto, brought with him the reputation as a solid quality operator on European level. Rossitto would be the first truly dangerous opponent that Haye had faced since losing a slugfest to IBO kingpin Carl Thompson.

After a measured first round between the two combatants, Haye stepped up his workrate in the second. The London man landed several hard and fast left-right combinations that stiffened the Italian’s legs before sending Rossitto sprawling to the canvas after a spell of sustained pressure. Whilst the tourist was up after a short count, referee Mickey Vann had seen enough and stopped the fight at 2 minutes 55 seconds of the second.
Haye’s original opponent, Mark Hobson, could only look on as his archrival not only won the fight but also the respect of what should have been a partisan home crowd for the Yorkshireman.

With the victory, Haye takes his career total of wins to fourteen, all inside the distance, against one loss and now sets his sights on a December date European Champion and chinny Ukrainian banger, Alexander Gurov.
In the main undercard attraction, former Commonwealth Welterweight king James Hare added momentum to his comeback with a fifth round stoppage of Oscar Milkitas. The Lithuanian’s corner signaled to referee Mickey Vann at the end of the fifth that they no longer wished to continue due to a number of cuts suffered by their fighter. It was a game effort from Milkitas who rarely stopped coming forward, however a matured Hare looked a class above throughout, counterpunching the Eastern European with relative ease. Hare wins his second on the trot and moves up to 32-2-1 (17).
Also on the bill, middleweight Anthony Small came into the ring wearing a scream mask and floored opponent Ismael Kerzazi a few times before the ref stopped the fight. The rather showy fighter from London looks fantastic at this level, but his hands down style makes him wide open while throwing punches, something that may come into play when Small, 8-0 (5), steps up. At this moment in time however, the twenty four year old is a very exciting prospect.
At middleweight, Geard Ajetovic beats Jason Collins via a sixth round TKO. Collins took some punishing shots all thorough the fight during this six rounder but could no longer maintain composure in the final frame. A native of Yugoslavia now living in England, Ajetovic showed superb defense and well focused power shots. The twenty four year old impressed many in the media section with his skills as he moves on to his tenth win, five by stoppage,
Bradford lightweight Femi “Fire” Fehintola convincingly beats the Ukraine’s Rakhim Mingaleev on points in an eight rounder, moving him to his 11th pro win against no losses.
