W.B.F. World Lightweight Champion, Jon Thaxton will demonstrate his power and technique during a four round exhibition of pad work at this Sunday’s first ever professional boxing promotion at the Lava & Ignite nightclub. Jono who came up with the idea said “Although I’m really pleased that Earl, Jacko and Sam are boxing here in Norwich, if I am honest I am also a little envious by the fact that a professional boxing show is being held here in Norwich and I won’t be on it.”During the last couple of weeks I have hit unbelievable form in the hope of boxing on a big televised show later on this month, but now it all appears to have been nothing more than a pipedream. “The hardest battle in boxing is the politics and that’s a fact.”Michael Gomez is all talk and appears to have strung us along for several weeks and that’s after giving me a verbal bashing in public. “He’s got no bottle that’s for sure and now it appears I am stuck in limbo.”Anyway come Sunday this won’t be just any old pads exhibition, this one is going to be explosive and Graham will need to take some pain killers afterwards. “I’ll be doing it to loud music full of pent up energy which will describe just how I, Jon Thaxton feel right now’.
The show that features three of Norwich’s other finest professional boxers, being billed as ‘The Three Kings’, will also have former superstar of boxing Dave ‘Boy’ Green at ringside.
