Former heavyweight champion of the world Riddick Bowe was scheduled to make the latest step in his ‘comeback’ on Saturday in Louisville Kentucky, USA. However, citing an injury to his left arm, Bowe has withdrawn from his fight with journeyman Kenny Craven. Bowe visited the hospital and has been instructed to rest for approximately two months but will likely resume training and seek to fight again early in the New Year. Bowe’s return has been highly criticized by most sectors of the boxing establishment and with Evander Holyfield’s recent suspension as laid down by the New York State Athletic Commission, it defies belief that something is not done to prevent a fighter with Bowe’s proven negative medical history to fight again. Saddoboxing.com will bring you more on this story as it happens.
