Boxing In Germany: Brähmer and Thysse Hit The Scales

Jürgen Brähmer, 26-0 (22), is one of the brightest stars and prospects of the Hamburg based Universum Box-Promotion. On the upcoming Universum event on Saturday he will defend his WBC international title belt against South African Andre Thysse. At today’s official weigh-in at Ginos Restaurant in the KöGalerie of Düsseldorf Brähmer weighed 75.8 kg and Thysse weighed 76 kg.

On the undercard of tomorrow’s show Egon Roth, 13-0 (11), a 6-foot-7 heayvweight from Southern Germany’s Frankenthal, takes on American Jeff Yeoman, 19-5 (8). Roth weighed 107,6 kg. Yeoman weighed 99,9 kg.

Once again reaching out for a title is German welterweight top contender Michel Trabant, 41-2 (18). The 27-year-old Berliner is a former European champion and will now take on Italian Michele Orlando, 30-4-2 (18), for the EU belt. Trabant and Orlando both weighed 66,6 kg
