British and Commonwealth Middleweight Champion Scott Dann held off Belarus spoiler Yuri Tsarenko in an eight round non-title clash while English Light Heavy Champ Peter Haymer stopped challenger Lee Aliss in the ninth, former Olympic hero Courtney Fry outpointed Vasyl Kondor over six at light heavyweight and lightweight Gary Buckland stopped Gavin Tait in the fifth of a scheduled six rounder.

Hlatshwayo Gets Past Campbell To Take IBF #2 Spot At Lightweight: IBO Lightweight Champion Isaac graduated to the big time last night in Tampa, Florida by posting a split decision win over former world title challenger Nate Campbell on a Star Boxing/One Punch shared promotional bill. South African sensation Hlatshwayo goes to 24-0 (9) and also captures the IBF number two spot at lightweight. Atlantic City based light welterweight “Mighty” Mike Arnaoutis starched the hopelessly overmatched Mike Walker in the first round to set up a highly anticipated possible showdown with ex-WBA Champion Vivian Harris this summer.
Wilson Knocks Out Briggs On Explosive Aussie Card: Colin Wilson kept his Australian Heavyweight crown with an impressive fifth round knockout of opponent Nathan Briggs, adding upon the fifth round stoppage Wilson imposed upon his rival last December. The game but less experienced Briggs hit the deck three times in the fifth on the Red Corner Promotion in Chandler, Australia, triggering the automatic three knockdown stoppage rule. Also in action was 41 year old Nermin Sabanovic who put opponent James Ellis down three times in the ninth to win the vacant Aussie Super Cruiserweight title. Of the six bouts on the bill, four would not go the distance.
Cauthen Continues Comeback Trail In Philly: Former 1996 US Olympian Terrance Cauthen kept his comeback hopes alive at the Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia as the slick Trenton, NJ southpaw outpointed heavy handed Trenton based Ugandan Joshua Onyango over eight rounds. The lanky light middle has now won four bouts on the bounce after suffering two consecutive losses to Paul Williams and Dario Esalas in late 2004/early 2005. In the main support bout of this Blue Horizon Promotion, Camden, NJ’s Max Alexander improved to 9-0-1 (1) with a third round stoppage over Tiwon Taylor.
