Australian flyweight Hussein Hussein looks set to get a title shot against reigning and defending champion Omar Narvaez of Argentina early in the new year. Hussein has already lost one fight in title competition to Pongsaklek Wonjongkam for the WBC flyweight championship of the world. Trained by Jeff Fenech, Hussein will likely get his chance to fight for the WBO version of the title in Australia. Hussein is also the brother of super bantamweight Nedal Hussein who recently lost a disappointing WBC super bantamweight title bid to champion Oscar Larios on the Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales III card in Las Vegas. Narvaez is unbeaten in his campaign of seventeen wins with eleven knockouts and two draws. Narvaez will take a tune-up fight in his native Argentina before he travels to Australia for the Hussein fight.
