Boxing Info: Jamie Moore promises fireworks and praises David Haye.

Jamie Moore is hoping that his run of bad luck is over as he prepares for his contest on the 21st July. Moore was scheduled to fight against Matthew Macklin earlier this year with his British title on the line but had to pull out of the eagerly awaited clash due to a shoulder injury.

The fight that the whole of Britain has been waiting for has now been rescheduled for after the summer break, but Moore didn’t want to be inactive for so long so will take a tune up on the undercard of David Haye’s European title fight at the Altrincham Leisure Centre in Manchester.

Moore is looking forward to boxing in his home town as chief support for Haye who has been elevated to number one contender in the renown WBC’s latest rankings which have just been published and although he would love to be topping the bill he realises he has to prove that his
shoulder injury is now non-exsitant.

“Although I would love to be topping the bill, it’s great to be a part of Britain’s pin up and golden boy of boxing as he looks to continue in his quest to win a World title, and it’s great that David Haye is willing to travel out of London his home city to box.

“Although Manchester is the capital of Britain as far as boxing is concerned” Moore added cheekily.

“You just have to look at the number of champions and good fighters who box in Manchester and how many people turn out to support them. I know David Haye will have good support here and the locals will get behind him.

“Up here we love real fighting men, ask Mike Tyson, Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe and lets not forget the Benn and Eubank clash in Manchester who knows when he gets his World title opportuninity he may come back and box at the MEN Arena and once again it will prove Manchester is the capital of British boxing and who knows maybe I can be chief support
fighting for a European or even a World title which is my ambition.”

Moore has promised to put on a good show for his local fans and to make sure Matthew Macklin knows he means business before their title fight

“There’s no way I am going to roll over and let Macklin take my title, he hasn’t served a proper apprenticeship as yet and I have worked hard to get into the position I am in now.

“Not only is my British title on the line, but also my number two position in Europe and my rating in the World will also be on the line.

“A good performance on the 21st and then beating Matthew Macklin will show the people out there what Jamie Moore is all about. I want to be in David Hayes position number one in Europe and also number one contender for a World title.”

Also on the show which is co-promoted with Hayemaker and VIP Promotions will be ‘Soldier Boy’ Chris Pacy the former ABA lightweight champion and also newcomer Brett Fourney who won the ABA title at welterweight, also a new rising star of the Manchester area Mark Thompson will also feature as will London’s thrill a minute Anthony Small who talks as fast as he throws combinations and fears no one in the World.

Tickets for the show can be purchased from the box office on 0871 226 1508 or online at http://www.maloneypromotions.com or from any of the boxers on the bill.
