Mora, 19-0 (4), had the toughest assignment in the form of towering middleweight Eric Regan, 26-3 (17), but “The Latin Snake” used his natural athleticism to keep away from his power punching hometown opponent at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA. On the same bill, light middle Alfonso Gomez, 15-3-2 (6), stopped Carson Jones, 12-3-1 (7), at 2:28 of the eighth.
At the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ light middle Ishe Smith, 18-1 (8), handed overmatched Oscar Gonzalez, 9-7-1 (3), his third consecutive loss via second round stoppage. Also, a non- Contender contestant was on the card, quality Mexican featherweight Martin Honorio, 22-3-1 (12), who posted a ten round points victory over Baudel Cardenas, 14-6-2 (5).
