Frenchman Souleymane M’baye lead the way on the undercard of Woods – Johnson III in Bolton, England tonight with a WBA Light Welter title winning effort against ex-lightweight world champ Raul Balbi of Argentina. M’baye, 35-1 (20), peppered Balbi, 54-8-1 (37), through the contest, canvassing the South American tourist in the second frame and then in the fourth with a cannon-like single shot to convince referee Dave Parris to put a stop to the action.

Also on the bill, ex-British Welter Champion Michael Jennings knocked out Czech journeyman Ratsislav Kovac in the third and boy wonder Amir Khan rubbed out fellow prospect Ryan Barrett in the first round to remain undefeated.
