The final press conference for Friday night’s holiday pro boxing show, “Bragging Rights,” was held today at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. “Bragging Rights” is promoted by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc. (CES) in association with Foxwoods Resort Casino and CN8, The Comcast Network.

“Bad” Chad Dawson – “I’ve trained hard for this fight. I was offered this fight and took it because to be the best I have to beat the best. Carl Daniels is one of the best. I won’t back away from any middleweight in the world. I’ve been working on a lot of different things in training camp with (head trainer John) Scully. I plan on winning this fight”

Carl Daniels – “I’m in shape and ready to go. Let’s see what my man (Dawson) has Friday night. I was shocked that he’d fight me because a lot of the world’s best middleweights – like Sturm – won’t fight me. I thank him (Chad) for taking this fight. He has to be tough to go against me.”

Jaime “The Hurricane” Clampitt – “It’s been a tough week. I trained six weeks to fight (Jane) Couch (who pulled out of the fight earlier this week) and there’s no doubt in my mind I was going to beat her. Hopefully, I’ll fight her again. Eliza I know Olson is a tough fighter from the last time. She took the fight on short notice, but I know she’s in shape – she just had a fight (Nov. 8) – and ready to go. I’m a different fighter than our last fight; no way she can beat me.”

Jason “Big Six” Estrada – “This (pro debut) is really a new start for me. I’ve been waiting for this moment a long time. I could have turned pro after the 2000 Olympic Trials (rather than stay an amateur), but things worked out (Estrada made the 2004 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team). I didn’t medal, but it was a good experience. I boxed so many different guys and styles, the only difference turning pro will be getting used to no headgear. I’m in better shape, physically, than I was at the Olympic Games.”
