Hosea Burton receives another breakout opportunity against the dangerous Jahmaine Smyle on June 1 at Manchester Bowlers. Having already missed out on a great opportunity earlier this year against former Commonwealth title challenger, Carl Dilks.
With Dilks dealing with medical restrictions back in February, Hosea Burton was forced to deal with Carl Wild at late notice and the stern tests keep on coming as the unbeaten youngster goes in with well-respected Jahmaine Smyle.
The strongman from Leicester who boasts an 8-3 record is now on a three fight winning streak with his last defeat coming right back in 2011 against Welsh prospect, Tobias Webb. Burton is actually flawless thus far in his professional career and an impressive victory against Smyle will be beneficial in convincing the boxing public that he could be the real deal.
Promoter Dave Coldwell is looking forward to what he calls a “proper fight.”
