Ryan Burnett Bantamweight Boxer Belfast Bound For Hometown Return

Ryan Burnett, Irish Irish boxer and bantamweight prospect, will fight in their home town of Belfast for the very first time as a pro on June 28.

Ryan Burnett, twenty-one, had gotten off to the perfect start as a professional last Friday when they defeated Laszlo Nemesapati Jr from Hungary in only 74 seconds.

Ricky Hatton, Promoter as well as trainer was wanting to keep the young puncher active and has arranged for him to appear on an event promoted in association with Jane Wilton’s Belfast Boxing Promotions at the Holiday Inn.

“it is great to have the date in Belfast,” Ryan stated. “Like every boxer, I have always wished to fight in front of my own people and now I have gotten the opportunity.

“A lot of my friends and family are going to be present and I cannot wait for it.”

“I’ll be more nervous this occasion than I was upon my debut a week ago because it is in my home city and there will be a lot bigger crowd, however I am eager for it.

Ryan Burnett hardly broke sweat in halting Nemesapati Jr with hurtful body shots a week ago, but already he feels he’s tailor made for a successful career in the paid side of the sport.

“it is early days but I am enjoying being a professional,” he stated. “It is a slower pace than the amateurs and you don’t have to try to chase points back when you take a shot, so you can think about your punches more.
“I had a really good amateur career, but I believe I’m gonna adapt to the professional game much better.”
