IBF middleweight champion, Daniel Geale (29-1, 15KOs), who battles top contender Darren Barker (25-1, 16KOs), along with IBF Jr. featherweight champion, Jhonatan Romero (23-0, 12 KOs) and his opponent Kiko Martinez (28-4, 20 KOs), posed for the media at today’s press conference.
Australia’s Geale will be putting his IBF belt on the line for the fifth time since winning it in 2011 against Sebastian Sylvester while former European, British and Commonwealth king Barker of England will be participating in his first world title opportunity.
Colombia’s Romero will be making the first defense of the IBF strap he won in February against Alejandro Lopez while ex-two time European champion Martinez gets his maiden world title shot.
Their bouts will be televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT this Saturday August 17, live from the Revel Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.
