Whippany Athletic Club Announces Open House

ByBoxing Press 04/09/201304/09/2013

On Saturday, September 21, the Whippany Athletic Club on Algonquin Parkway will be hosting an all-day open house open to the public, featuring a variety of events, including a meet and greet with Hall-of-Fame heavyweight knockout artist Lou Esa.

The Whippany Athletic Club is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a brand new boxing ring, several heavy bags of various sizes, speed bags, and an assortment of weightlifting and cardio equipment.

“We are excited to have the local community come by and meet with our trainers, who range from muscle and endurance trainers to fat loss experts, to strength and conditioning, kickboxing and boxing skill/technique,” said Boxing Coach Lou Esa.

“In addition to the level of expertise Whippany Athletic Center has on staff, our facility prides itself on the cleanliness beginning in our locker rooms and continuing through the whole gym.”

Stacked with trainers of various disciplines, including Felix Erazo, a NASM certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist and certified TRX Suspension trainer with more than ten years’ experience, strength and conditioning coach and certified cross fit trainer Ray Padilla, who has helped countless kids get better conditioned for sports, weight trainer and nutritionist and former Mr. New Jersey Chris Lentino, and Al Martinez who runs cardio boxing, Whippany Athletic Center is fitness enthusiasts’ one stop shop for all of their needs.

Several of Whippany Athletic Center’s trainers have not only competed but won strength and body building competitions, so they know what needs to be done for competition shape.

Throughout the day the Whippany Athletic Center will feature various exhibitions including boxing, weightlifting and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as one-on-one meetings with all of the trainers.

The Whippany Athletic Center offers something for everyone, from the beginner to the seasoned veteran, accommodating all ages and fitness levels. Interested clients are encouraged to stop by and speak with one of the trainers so they can find how the gym can meet their specific workout goals.

In terms of boxing, there is no other gym in the area which has a coach with experience like Hall-of-Famer Lou Esa. Inside the ring Esa put together an impressive record of 19-6-1 with 16 KO, having the opportunity to work with some of the game’s top trainers and fighters.

He now passes along his unequivocal knowledge to kids and adults looking to learn the sweet science from a seasoned veteran.

“Whether you are looking to train to get in the ring and compete or simply learn boxing to get into better shape, we can help you take your training to the next level,” Esa continued. “We will customize a unique training regime to cater your specific needs to ensure you meet and exceed all of your fitness goals.”

The Whippany Athletic Center is located at 156 Algonquin Parkway in Whippany, NJ. Don’t miss the chance to check out one of North Jersey’s premier boxing and fitness centers staffed with some of the most knowledgeable trainers in the area.
