Team Ireland Sends Crack Amateur Squad To Bulgaria

Ireland’s 11-strong squad arrived in Albena, Bulgaria early this morning ahead of the opening bell for the 2nd AIBA World Youth and Junior Championships.

Boxing begins on Sunday at the Black Sea Holiday resort.

As of yesterday, 146 Youth and 155 Junior boxers representing 33 nations, including Ireland, had entered.

The Junior prelims begin at 2pm (Irish time) on Sunday at the Albena resort venue. Youth prelims begin at 5pm (Irish time). Albena is two hours ahead of Ireland.
