Irish Boxing Council Sets Sights On AIBA World Elite Tourney

The IABA’s Boxing Council meet Monday night, September 23, to ratify the Irish squad for next month’s AIBA World Elite Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Monday’s meeting begins at 6pm in the Ringside Club at Dublin’s National Stadium.

Ireland’s Elite squad finished up their training camp with Australia, Poland and Scotland at the Lough Lannagh holiday resort in Castlbebar, Mayo on Thursday night last.

Team Ireland depart for Kazakhstan next weekend.

The 17th AIBA World Elite Championships begin in Almaty on October 11.
