Haroon Khan Headlines Big November 15 Blackpool Show

ByBoxing Press 18/10/2013

After dazzling in his opening two professional outings – Haroon Khan will make his eagerly anticipated ring return on Friday, November 15 at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

The baby-faced assassin, who has already blitzed his way past sturdy challengers in Brett Fidoe and Vicente Medellin, will feature on a stacked card put together by VIP Boxing Promotions, with no less than 14 bouts taking place.

Undefeated Jack Arnfield of Blackpool tops the bill when he goes up against veteran Max Maxwell in what is sure to be one of the fights of the night, leading a fantastic card which features some of the country’s hottest young prospects.

It is the younger brother of former unified light-welterweight world champion, Amir Khan, though, that is expected to put on a performance following his stunning knockout of Medellin last May in Atlantic City.

The super-flyweight’s opponent will be named in due course.

Haroon Khan said: “I just can’t wait to get back in the ring. It’s seemed like a while since I was last out, so I’m raring to go. Over the past few months I’ve been training hard with Oliver Harrison and I’ve done some great work and had excellent sparring.

“This will only be my third fight as a professional but I feel myself growing and getting stronger. There are no shortcuts in this sport so I will be getting in tiptop shape in order to put on a great performance. I would like to thank Steve Wood for putting me on this great show.”

Steve Wood of VIP Boxing Promotions said: “We’ve put together a great show for November 15 in Blackpool, which I’m very proud of. There’s a real mix of fighters on the card and everyone who attends or watches will no doubt see some truly excellent match ups.

“It’s great to have Haroon fighting on the bill and we expect there will be a large contingent from Bolton making their way across to Blackpool next month. This card will have it all from top to bottom and it will be a great night of boxing.”

Fight fans can buy tickets starting at just £30 or £60 ringside. If you wish to buy tickets please contact Saj Mohamed on 01204535332 or email saj@premuk.com.

The fight card will also be available online at www.vipboxing.tv. The scheduled start time of the show is 7pm.
