Heavyweights Rossy, Willis Clash Saturday In Brooklyn

This Saturday night at Pacplex in Brooklyn, NY, Heavyweight contender Derric Rossy will take on Jonta Willis in the eight round main event of a big night of boxing that is promoted by Sal Musumeci’s Final Forum Boxing.

Rossy of Medford, New York has a record of 28-7 with 14 knockouts.

The 33 year-old Rossy has faced many of the top Heavyweights in the world and holds victories over the likes of Gary Bell (22-3-1), Sahnnon Miller (14-2), Edward Guitierrez (15-3), former world champion Ray Mercer (35-6-1), William Shahan (7-0), Carl Davis Drummond (26-1), Alexis Mejias (10-2), Ian Lewson (6-1-1) and Travis Walker (39-8-1).

Rossy also has faced former world title challenger Eddie Chambers twice, Alexander Dimitrenko (27-0), Kubret Pulev (11-0), Audley Harrison and he is coming off a ten round unanimous decision defeat to Fres Oquendo.

Willis of Tacoma, Washington has a record of 9-7-1 with 3 knockouts.

He won his first seven bouts which included a win over then undefeated Alvaro Morales. Willis also holds a win over Art Binkowski (16-2-2).

Willis has also fought top competition such as Vincent Thompson (9-0); Dennis Bakhtov (33-7); Andy Ruiz Jr. (14-0); Didier Bence (7-0); Joshua Tufte (12-0) and his last bout when he lost an 8 round majority decision to Eric Fields (22-2) on November 9th in Whitehall, New York.

In an eight round Heavyweight bout, Natu Vasinia (9-0, 8 KO’s) of Lakewood, CA battles Jon Bolden (6-7, 5 KO’s) of New York, NY.

Cruiserweight Keith Tapia (9-0, 6 KO’s) of Santruce, Puerto Rico will fight Tobias Rice (4-9-1, 2 KO’s) of Macon, Georgia in a bout scheduled for six rounds.

Rafael Hernandez (8-0, 5 KO’s) of Grand Rapids, MI will fight Dedrick Bell (10-17-1, 7 KO’s) of Memphis, Tennessee in a six round Jr. Welterweight bout.

Ytalo Perera (5-1, 3 KO’s) of Howard Beach, NY via Ecuador will fight Tyrone Gibson (1-4, 1 KO) of Duluth, MN in a four round Heavyweight bout.

Phillip Moreno of Brooklyn, New York will make his pro debut when he battles Nathan Seelye (0-2) of Minnesota in a Featherweight bout scheduled for four rounds.

Allan Phelan (3-2, 3 KO’s) of New York via Ireland will square off with Tomi Archambault (1-6, 1 KO) in a Lightweight bout scheduled for four rounds.

In attendance will be Rosie Pierri of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Rosie will be there in support of KO of Children’s Malnutrition. Rosie’s fans can come out and take pictures with her.
