Get Fighting Fit This February With A Hatton Training Camp

People serious about getting in shape this year will be given the chance to eat and train like a boxer when Fight Camp returns to Hatton Health and Fitness in Hyde, Greater Manchester next month.

Led by former unbeaten professional and 2009 ABA finalist Blain Younis, the programme runs for six weeks and aims to get participants in the best possible shape in a fun and friendly environment.

As boxers are among the fittest athletes in the world, taking part in some of the training techniques used in the lead-up to a fight makes sense to anyone who wants to improve their health and get the body they’ve always wanted.

Included in the classes will be bag work, pad work, running, tyre flipping and skipping. Put short, it’s everything a boxer does in camp with the exception of sparring.

On top of learning the best fistic training techniques, participants will also be given the Fighter Fuel cookbook which contains information on diet and nutrition as well as recipes for some truly tasty meals.

“I was boxing for the ten years myself and I trained at different gyms with some great coaches so what I’ve done is pick the best training methods I’ve experienced and put them together in a six week programme,” Blain Younis said.

“It progresses as the weeks go on and people don’t have to be super fit to get involved. I start with the basics and add to it as people get fitter and learn more.

“A lot of people came to the last class who’d already done some boxing training and they still learned a lot. I think there’s something for everyone and I know the things I teach are guaranteed to get results.”

The next Fight Camp begins on Monday February 3, with classes running three times each week. It costs just £150 for the full six weeks and places are limited.
