WBA Celebrates Stanley Christodoulou, Felix Sturm, Irma Garcia

The World Boxing Association family congratulates Stanley Christodoulou, who celebrates today his 70th birthday, as well as to former WBA champion Felix Sturm, who celebrates his 35th birthday.

Christodoulou is a member of the WBA International Officials Committee, where he fulfills his duties as judge and referee, besides being a member of the Directorate of the Association.

He was born Johannesburg, was a boxer from 1963 to 1973, when he began to act as a boxing authority.
For the WBA, it is a pleasure to congratulate a faithful ally of South African boxing.

For its part, the former WBA champion, Felix Sturm, celebrates his 35th birthday in Leverkusen. He represented his country in various world competitions and was a member of the Sydney 2000 Olympic team.

He debuted in professional boxing in 2001, and became the WBA champion in 2006.

The World Boxing Association congratulates Irma “Torbellino” Garcia, bantamweight female champion, who got her hand cast for eternity at the International Wrestling, Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Hall of Fame of Mexico.
The ceremony took place held in the premises located in the Aztec capital.

“I’ve always wanted to leave a trace, I am a policewoman and I am committed to society; in boxing I have been able to exploit my skills and I get closer to people to make a better detective work “, said the proud boxer who holds high the black and gold of her championship belt.

For the WBA, it is an honor having an athlete like García, who is a proud Mexican and our world champion.
