Airdates Announced For DiBella’s Latest Broadway Boxing Bill
DiBella Entertainment has announced the currently scheduled airdates for the latest edition of its extremely popular Broadway Boxing Presented by StubHub. The November 15, 2006 edition, headlined by Spanish Harlem star Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana (19-2, 12 KO’s) against Bahamian Meacher Major (11-2-1, 10 KO’s) is schedule to air as follows:
SportsNet New York will premiere the show on Sunday, November 26 at 8:00 PM and replay it on Tuesday, November 28 at 8:00 PM and Tuesday, December 5 at 1:30 PM. Comcast SportsNet Southeast will air the telecast on Thursday, November 30 at 9:00 PM. Comcast SportsNet West will televise the show a total of eight times, with the premiere airing on Monday, November 27 at 9:00 PM PT.
Replays are slated to air on Thursday, November 30 at 11:30 PM PT, Friday, December 8 at 10:00 PM PT, Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 PM PT, Monday, December 11 at 9:00 PM PT, Saturday, December 16 at 8:00 PM PT, Wednesday, December 20 at 8:00 PM PT and Friday, December 29 at 9:00 PM PT. HDNet will televise the show in High Definition on Friday, December 1 at 9:30 PM ET and later that night at 12:30 AM ET.
Air dates for Comcast SportsNet Chicago and Comcast SportsNet Local – Detroit will be announced shortly.
The show’s co-feature pits knockout artist and Broadway Boxing standout Curtis “Showtime” Stevens (13-1, 11 KO’s) against Marcos Primera (20-15-2, 13 KO’s) in an eight round super middleweight contest. Primera handed Dash-DiBella Promotions’ Stevens his only career setback in a controversial eighth round stoppage on July 20th.
Dash-DiBella Promotions’ super middleweight Jaidon “The Don” Codrington (12-1, 10 KO’s), regarded as one of the top middleweight prospects in the game, looks to keep his three fight win streak alive as he faces Johnny Brooks (5-4-1, 3 KO’s) of South Carolina. New Jersey’s Noriko Kariya (5-1-1, 1 KO), the fighting sister of NHL star Paul Kariya, will also see action as she takes on Elisha Olivas (5-4-1, 3 KO’s) in a six round bantamweight bout.
Bob Papa will serve as the blow-by-blow announcer, along with Steve Farhood and Brian Adams serving as the color commentators.
