Coldwell Boxing Signs Hull Prospect Tom Knight

Coldwell Boxing are delighted to announce the signing of exciting prospect Tom Knight. The 21 year old light-middleweight was in high demand with a number of promotional groups chasing the talented youngster, but the 4-0 Hull starlet has placed his immediate future in the hands of Dave Coldwell.

The thriving promoter is in a buoyant mood following his latest capture and he’s convinced that Knight can benefit from Hull’s recent boxing boom.

“I’m really over the moon with this signing because Tom is someone I’ve known about for a while and there really was a lot of interest in him,” revealed Coldwell. “He joins our stable of young, hungry and exciting fighters and he ticks all the boxes of what I like in a boxer. He’s a hard trainer, he understands the sport and the most important thing is that he wants to fight.

“I’ve got some big ideas for this kid and I’m confident he can be a big part of Coldwell Boxing’s plans moving forward.

“Hull is something of a hotbed for British boxing at the moment. It’s not quite at the level of the likes of Manchester or Liverpool but it’s quickly getting its own identity with the likes of Luke Campbell’s gold medal, Tommy Coyle’s wars and Curtis Woodhouse winning the British title.

“Things like that will get local people buzzing and it’ll also give younger boxers a huge inspiration. Good things are happening in Hull at the moment and Coldwell Boxing wants to be right amongst it. Signing guys like Knight will help us.”
