Boxing info: Rob Calloway

“All-American Prizefighter” Rob Calloway will be going for his 65th professional win and his 50th Knock Out when he takes on Doug Kaluza on Thursday, December 7th at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO. This fight will be televised on tape delay, nationally through Time Warner and locally through Metro Sports and St. Joseph Cablevision.

This bout which is a 10 round Cruiserweight bout, will be Calloway’s first bout in the Cruiserweight division in 7 years. After losing a disputed 12 round decision to 3 Time Cruiserweight World champion Kenny Keene in his hometown of Boise, Idaho Calloway moved up to the Heavyweight division where he compiled a record of 26 wins 5 losses and 1 draw and collected a series of championships including; International Boxing Association Americas Super Cruiserweight, World Boxing Foundation Intercontinental Heavyweight, Mid-American Heavyweight, North American Boxing Council World Heavyweight, Pan Asian Boxing Association Heavyweight, World Boxing Foundation World Heavyweight & World Boxing Empire World Heavyweight and fighting the likes of #1 rated Heavyweight contender Ruslan Chagaev twice, 2000 Olympic Super Heavyweight Gold Medalist Audley Harrison, 2 time Heavyweight Champion of the World Hasim Rahman, Top ten contender Jameel McCline and impressive wins over “Big” Bob Mirovic in Australia, 7 foot tall Julius Long, as well as James “Quick” Tillis, Roretana Tutaki, Otis Tisdale, Francisco Daniel DaSilva among many others.

Calloway plans to campaign at the Cruiserweight division again, which is his natural weight, in hopes of fighting for a World Title in 2007. Calloway will still be open to Heavyweight bouts if the right opportunity arises.
