David Price Added To Channel 5 Televised German Fight Card

David Price (18-2, 15 KOs) is back in action on December 6 – live on Channel 5 at 8.30-10.30pm. The hard-hitting heavyweight will face Emilio Ezequiel Zarate (18-13-3, 9 KOs) as part of a bumper bill of international Boxing brought to you by Team Sauerland and Hennessy Sports from the EWE Arena in Oldenburg, Germany.

Price is back following a hand injury that had left him out of action since June. Now fully recovered, the former British and Commonwealth Champion is relishing a return to the ring and the opportunity to showcase his skills to an audience of millions on terrestrial television.

“I can’t wait to get back into the ring and back to what I do best,’’ said Price. “This will be my first fight on terrestrial television and it’s a great opportunity for me to show everybody what I can do.

“I’m working hard every day in the gym and the time I’ve spent out with injury has only made me hungrier. On December 6, people are going to see me at my most dangerous. I’m coming with bad intentions. I want to put in a performance and entertain all the fans watching at home on Channel 5.’’

“This appearance on Channel 5 will give David the exposure he needs and will allow a much bigger audience to get a taste of the power he possesses.

“Tyson [Fury], Peter [Fury] and I are all rooting for him to do well and are hoping we can set up a domestic blockbuster once Tyson has won the world heavyweight title next year.”

The British heavyweight star is the latest addition to an action-packed show on December 6, which also features the IBF Championship clash between Cuban cruiserweight king – Yoan Pablo Hernandez (29-1, 14 KOs) and London-born Ola Afolabi (21-3-4, 10 KOs). Tickets are available via eventim.de.
