Empire Boxing Club To Go Out With A Flash

We are staging a group photograph for anyone who has boxed or trained at the Empire Boxing Club over the past 50 years on Saturday 17th January at 11.00am outside the boxing gym.

This will commemorate the closing of the boxing club that has been a presence in St. Paul’s for 50 years.

The gym produced Bristol’s first world champion in Glenn Catley and numerous other champions including Ross Hale, Dean Francis, Adrian Stone, Scott Dann and Lee Haskins.

The historic Bristol Boxing Gym has moved to The Mill, Lower Ashley Road, Easton, BS5 0YJ as of Monday 12th January where it will have it’s new home along with young peoples charity Empire Fighting Chance.
