Bristol Bltz Card Announced For July 8 At Ashton Gate Stadium

Sanigar Events presents ‘Bristol Blitz’ Championship Boxing at The Dolman Hall, Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol.

Unbeaten light heavyweight prospect Hasan Karkardi will rematch Newcastle’s Scott Westgarth for the International Light Heavyweight Challenge Belt. Their last contest was beginning to heat up when a gash above Karkardi’s eye forced the ringside doctor to halt the contest in the fiftn round resulting in a technical decision for the Bristol based Iranian.

Westgarth will be gunning for revenge and a chance to show the hostile crowd that he can be the first to blemish Karkardi’s perfect record.

Two time English title challenger and Midlands Area Champion Ash Lane is keen to rebuild and get himself back into title contention following a narrow points loss to Jason Cunningham for the English title earlier this year.

Bristol’s Dan Sarkozi, who always brings a large following, will be aiming to extend his three fight winning streak off the back of a shut out win over Paul O’Brien.

‘The Bomber’ David Bailey and ‘The Somerset Stallion’ Ryan Wheeler, both undefeated, will want to make a special impression in front of the home crowd after exciting performances last time out in April. Bristol’s Tim Cutler will also continue his progression through the professional ranks, eyeing a fourth victory to add to his flawless record.

‘The Gas Man’ Duane Winters is back on the war path following his first professional defeat, a controversial points loss to Hull’s Luke Fash back in April. Winters, an avid Bristol Rovers FC fan. will have an extra incentive to put on a special performance at the home of bitter rivals Bristol City FC.

Jack Budge from Lamborn makes his second professional appearance following a fight of the night contest against Bristol’s own Harvey Hemsley in April. The former ABA Three Nations Youth champion has some silky skills and another learning contest will help develop his professional style.

Light Heavyweight duo Lee Nutland and Dane Kelly will return to the ring after a year in the gym honing their skills. It will be Kelly’s first outing since a stoppage loss at the City Academy last March. Since then he has been assisting in the training of IBF Bantamweight Champion and close friend Lee Haskins.

Dane will no doubt have gained inspiration and a few tricks of the trade from the champion. Fan favourite Nutland has been working closely with former European Champion Dean Francis and will no doubt bring another exciting performance.

Tickets priced at £30 Unreserved seating, £40 Ringside and £50 & £60 VIP Tables including food are available from Sanigar Events on 0117 949 6699. Under 16’s accompanied by an adult tickets are £10
