Kermit Cintron and Antonio Margarito, two of the world’s finest welterweights will headline the Feb 18 edition of ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights Main Events Special” from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, it was announced today by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. Welterweight bomber Kermit Cintron will defend his WBO-interim welterweight crown against veteran Steve Martinez in the twelve-round main event, while WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito defends his title against Carlos Baldomir in the twelve-round co-feature contest. Should both Cintron and Margarito emerge victorious, the two will square off in a highly-anticipated welterweight showdown in April.

Tickets, priced at $75, $50, and $25, can be purchased at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall Box Office, Bally’s Show Desk, by calling TicketMaster at 1-800-736-1420, or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. The twenty-five-year-old Reading, PA resident by way of Carolina, Puerto Rico captured the NABF welterweight title and the WBO-Interim welterweight title in his last bout on July 17, 2004, when he dismantled Jamaican bomber Teddy Reid in eight rounds (TKO 8). • Kugan Should Retire! 16/09/2026
He’s Eddies mate and I know they’ve been doing interviews since before either of them really had a profile…but Eddie still gives Kugan wayyyyy too much latitude in the interviews that Hearn needs to resonate with the public. Kugan constantly cuts across him, with some meaningless aside, or to tries to get a rubbish ‘gotcha’, for no reason. There are better i […]

  • Ain't we all want to see Jai v David? 14/09/2026
Don’t we? Let’s cut all of the bullshit here. This is the only fight worth a $100 PPV buy, it’s Jai Opetai v David Benavidez. Canelo is in the background now. He is not worthy of paying any attention to at this point and time. Plus, since Crawford is retired, he is not worth mentioning either, even if he comes back to fight Boots… There is no other fight on […]
  • Where does Conor Benn go from here? 14/09/2026
Conor Benn has been exposed as a no better than a Misfit fighter. He has just been destroyed in 2 rounds for an undeserved Welterweight world title. His best win is against a faded if not shot Eubank Jnr at middleweight. So where does Conor go from here? Conor has already managed to secure a multimillion contract from Zuffa which may be in jeopardy. As a res […]

I did it. Ran a half marathon in training last week Sunday. I did it in 3 hours, but I did it… lolol… I could do it in 2 and 1/2 hours though. For the first time, I walked a good bit of the distance… And the shoes I had on was not good for long distances. So, I started to get pains in my ankles, Achilles and ACL… But with the right shoes I can def do that in […]

  • Hrgovic's career path 05/09/2026
Hrgovic has finally made it to the mountain as IBF world champion. He has himself to blame for not training hard enough or working on his conditioning, and his management team for failing to get him a title shot sooner. I get it. He wasn’t born with boxing’s golden ticket — he isn’t American or British. His only loss came on a night when a dirty Dubois had h […]
