Brendan Ingle MBE passes away aged 77

The boxing world mourns the loss of two more boxing greats this weekend. One of the most successful boxing trainers – Brendan Ingle MBE passed away on Friday aged 77. Having trained the likes of Naseem Hamed and Johnny Nelson at the renowned Wincobank Gym in Sheffield – Dublin-born Brendan was highly respected and loved by many.

Also on Friday, former Super-Middleweight champion, Dean Francis, sadly lost his battle with terminal cancer aged just 44. The Bristol based boxer aka ‘Star’ accumulated 34 wins and 1 draw in 40 fights having last fought in 2015.

Our condolences to the families and friends of both men. R.I.P.
