Larios to Defend Against McCullough

Fresh from his dominant showing against Australian contender Nedal Hussein, WBC super bantamweight champion Oscar “Chololo” Larios will make his next defense against Ireland’s Wayne “Pocket Rocket” McCullough. The fight looks set for the date of the tenth of

February with no precise site set. Larios has not lost a fight in four years while McCullough is considered to be in the twilight of his career. McCullough’s last high-profile outing came in a loss against WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison, a fight in which McCullough took a rare beating. McCullough returned to the ring late last year to stop Mike Juarez in two rounds and his challenge to Larios will be Larios’s tenth defense of the title.
