Danny Garcia opens up about his struggles with anxiety and depression with Jim Gray in his post fight interview after defeating Jose Benavidez Saturday, July 30, at the Barclays Center.

“The pressure of life. The pressure of boxing, of being a good dad… It’s been weighing on me for a year and a half and I know the only way to get better is to fight, and to win. I’m a fighter this what I do, and I love to do.”

Rarely do we see fighters at this level open up about such personal issues, and in a moment of very real emotions, Danny Garcia showed us there’s so much more to fighters then just the opponents across from in the ring.
