In August 2019, Anthony Yarde travelled to the home town of world champion Sergey Kovalev to challenge for the WBO World Light Heavyweight Championship.

Whilst Yarde was unable to get the victory, he gained many plaudits for his performance and how he handled the occasion considering he had very limited experience.

On January 28th at The OVO Arena, Wembley, Yarde challenges the unified world champion Artur Beterbiev for his titles live on BT Sport.
