Unified welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. entered 2022 surrounded by uncertainty around his ability to fight at the elite level he’s known for following extended time out of the ring due to health complications. However, when Spence faced Yordenis Ugas on April 16th, all questions were answered when he absolutely dominated the former world champion, adding the WBA title to his collection, and that’s why this win has earned Spence the designation of PBC Performance of the Year for 2022!
