The purse offer for the mandatory title defense of light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson versus mandatory contender Adrian Diaconu will take place on Friday, August 10, in Mexico City.
The WBC will present a honorary belt to former champion Jessie James Leija during the fantastic rematch between Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez in Hidalgo, Texas. The winner of this rematch will face next the mandatory challenger of the WBC.
Erik Morales, a three-time WBC champion, will try to become the first Mexican boxer to win titles in four different weight divisions when he faces WBC champion David DiÂaz in Chicago.
