David Tua: “It’s great fighting in Utah. I never thought I’d be fighting here. It’s going to be a great card. I’m honored to be fighting with these great fighters. I want to thank Mr. Montana for this opportunity.”
Saul Montana: “I appreciate being here. I’m ready to fight this top fighter. It’s going to be a good fight.”
Roman Greenberg: “It’s a great card. I’m honored to be fighting with David, Williams and the others. I want to thank everybody who has helped me get where I am. I hope that I entertain all of you guys.”
Damon Reed: “It’s tough following that gig (Williams). I’m honored and privileged to be up here with David and Roman. I’ve waited a long time to show why I should be up here. (after Saturday night) Maybe people will know my name.”
Jeremy Williams: “No pressure….knocking out a guy whose never been knocked out. How easy? Not at all. I never saw him until now but I’ve fought him a 100 times. Gilbert Martinez, Sherman Williams – tough guys with big hearts who keep coming. You just say Mexican, (and know they’re) ready to go.
“I’m a new generation: little of this, little of that. I like beating up Mexicans. (looking at Montana), I remember Saul Montana 45 pounds ago. It’s going to be a good fight. I fought on the same card as Roman. I’ve known David (Tua) 10 years and I’ve heard a lot about Kid Chocolate. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
“I went off to MMA for a while but I had a longing in my heart to be world champion (in boxing) like I was as an amateur. I couldn’t let life go by without reaching my dream. Truly, in my heart, I’m destined to be the world cruiserweight champion. Gomez is in the way, initially. I’m not planning on a knockout; I plan to win.”
Gary Gomez: “I’ve prepared myself for this fight. I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been for my best fight. I’ll be seeing you in the ring Jeremy Williams”
Peter Quillin: “Mexican fighters (like Corral) are tough, but I’m Cuban-American and we’re tough, too. The only handful I’ll have is chocolate. I’m thankful to be showcasing my talents on pay-per-view. It’s my first fight outside of New York. This (Utah) is nothing like people back home told me. Utah is nice and the people are very friendly. Come get your chocolate.”
Jose Humberto Corral: “I’ve come here to do my best I know I’m fighting a tough guy, Kid Chocolate (Quilllin).”
