Stepkin vs. Mitchell Added To Cota Boxing Card September 21

Cota Boxing Promotions has added Russian middleweight contender, Sergey Stepkin (17-2, 9 KO’s) vs Eric Mitchell (20-4-1,10 KO’s) as the co-feature to Miguel Espino vs an opponent TBA at the Double Tree Hotel in Bakersfield Ca, September 21st 2007.

Mitchell who has been inactive for the last year is excited to step back in the ring as he stated, “I’m happy to be back in action. Manny Cota has promised to keep me busy so I’m ready to fight my heart out. My fight with Stepkin is going to be a crowd pleaser. I’m coming to take him out early.”

The rough and rugged Russian, who’s style is like that of a bull, thinks different telling Cota, “I rarely get knocked out. It happened once, but never again. Mitchell will be the one on the canvas, not me.” Cota plans on showcasing both fighters on all his shows. Espino headlines the card and looks to defend his WBC CABOFE middleweight title in the main event.
