European Boxing New: Levin, Sanavia, Raveco, Abraham, Sarritzu

Comebacking Swedish heavy Attila Levin is off DiBella Entertainment´s show in Hollywood, Florida, on October 30, for promotional reasons. On the show are Cuban stars Yuriorkis Gamboa and Yan Barthelemy. Gamboa, at feather, faces Brazilian Adailton de Jesus, who´s # 11 with the WBA. Barthelemy, at flyweight, is in against Alejandro Moreno. Levin will return at a later date with a different promoter.

European super middle champ Cristian Sanavia´s defence against German veteran Danilo Haussler will now go ahead on December 8 in a supporting bout to IBF ruler Arthur Abraham´s next defence. The site is likely to be Basle, Switzerland.

Heavyweight boxer Awad Tamim disappeared in Helsinki Monday afternoon – just hours before fighting Oleg Platov – and is still missing. Tamim didn´t use the return ticket he had. The only thing known about the Tanzanian prior to this fight was that he, in his sole confirmed profight, had rocked Russian Dennis Bahktov before getting stopped.

The Russian Federation have changed the the draw given in the lightheavy fight between Dawid Kostecki and Bernard Donfack. The Council acknowledges that the referee made a mistake in not counting over Donfack in the seventh. The result is thus changed to a unanimous points win for Kostecki.

Danes Cruiser Anders Hugger and middleweight Thomas Povlsen, both 8-0, both fight on the undercard to Kessler vs Calzaghe November 3 in Cardiff.

Andrea Sarritzu´s defence of the European flyweight title against Spaniard Rafael Lozano has now been rescheduled for November 22 or 23. Site is still to be announced.

Ukrainian Andrei Kudryatsev squares off against French based Armenian, Aram Ramazyan December 17 with the vacant EE-EU title at stake.

Dutch heavy, licensed in Belgium, Andre Janssens, age 40 and 7-0, goes for the vacant Belgian title in the headliner of the annual November 1 show in Izegem.

Arena Box Promotion have released a DVD about the show in Ankara, Turkey, June 16 – a promotion that offered a very complicated logistic challenge including transporation of a ring from from Germany to Turkey.
