Surfs Up and the waves are not the only thing breaking on Miami Beach. “The Legend Begins” presented by Miami Fight League hits Miami Beach January 23rd, 2008. Miami fight fan favorite Juan Arroyo, 35-5-4 (16), headlines the card and takes on Ilido Julio, 35-14-1 (31), in the Main Event.
This match will surely be a continuation of the slugfest that took place last August when both fighters had the crowd on their feet the whole match. In the Co-Main Event George “Honey Boy” Blades, 21-3 (15), puts his 75% KO average on the line against tough Columbia Jose Luis Herrera 14-4 (14).
Stylin’ Stacey “Stay Lo” Reile, 7-0 (3), fresh from her hit appearance on the “Show de Fernando”(and crowd pleasing KO of Fernando), takes on Maribel Santana, 8-4-1 (3), from the Dominican Republic.
Rounding out the card is Cuban Heavy Weight Henry Fuentes, 3-0 (2), taking on Dino Weingarten and Golden Glover Juan Nazzario, 4-0 (3), matches up against John Trotman from Barbados.
Promoter Enrique Rivalta adds, sparks will be flying when two Cuban amatuers making their pro-debuts, Alain Oliverio faces off against Trenton Titsdale, and Ricardo Hernandez squares up against Philip Akayab.
