The undercard for the InterBox Gala featuring Lucian Bute vs. William Joppy is taking shape, with three fights now confirmed. Two of the three fights will be title bouts with Renan St-Juste fighting for the WBC Continental Americas 160 lb belt and Victor Lupo defending his Canadian Welterweight crown.
The main supporting bout for the InterBox Gala will showcase Renan St-Juste, 15-1-1 (10) against Mohamad Said, 23-7-1 (15). This will mark the first title bout for the boxer from Repentigny, and his first fight under the InterBox banner. A victory would place Renan into the Top 15 of the WBC.
Victor Lupo, 16-1-0 (8), will defend his Canadian Welterweight title against Leonardo Rojas, 7-5-3 (2). The Romanian native is looking to bounce right back after his first loss last November 30, 2007 in Drummondville against Paul Clavette.
Baha Laham, 6-0-0 (1), against David Tyson Gomez, 15-1-0 (14). This is the same Gomez who took Benoit Gaudet the distance in 2007. Undefeated, Baha Laham has trained very hard the last few months to be at the top of his game for this epic challenge.
The opponents of JoJo Dan and Sebastien Gauthier will be unveiled in the next few days. These two bouts will complete the February 29 card.
