Professional boxing returns to the Days Inn and Conference Center in Allentown, PA on Saturday, March 15 when Rob “The All American Prizefighter” Calloway puts his WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight title on the line against rising undefeated prospect Juan Carlos Robles in a ten round main event sponsored by King’s Promotions in association with Major League Boxing.
Experienced veteran Rob Calloway, 67-7 (55), of St. Joseph, MO, ranked #11 by the WBO, is eager to gain a world title shot. He has been in the ring with the likes of former two-time heavyweight champ Hasim Rahman and Jameel McCline and in August of last year, Calloway upset heavyweight Terry Smith on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.
Juan Carlos Robles, 9-0 (5) of Waynesboro, VA, is a hungry young fighter who is no stranger to taking on tough veteran fighters. He plans on taking advantage of this opportunity for a shot at a world ranking.
In the co-feature, Keenan Collins, 12-4 (8), of Reading, PA, will face Wilmington, Delaware’s Clarence “Sonny Bono” Taylor, 12-13-2 (6), in a six round light middleweight bout.
The fight card will also include Allentown favorites Marvin Rivera, Jesus Barbosa, Jorge Delgado, Julio Cesa Mathews and Reading fighters Travis Kauffman and Lucian Gonzalez.
The evening of professional boxing is being promoted by King’s Promotions and sponsored by Budweiser. RCN TV will televise the action on a tape delay basis.
