Women’s Boxing: Moreno, Rakoczy Ready To Go At Tachi Palace

WBC Junior Flyweight Champion Carina “La Reina” Moreno, 16-1 (5), and her undefeated opponent Dan-Bi Kim, 4-0 (1), from Korea, made weight yesterday as they prepare for an all out war tonight at the Tachi Palace Casino in Lemoore, CA.

Moreno puts her WBC title on the line while both fighters will contend for the vacant WIBA belt.

“I’m excited,” said Moreno. “I’ve been training for this fight for a few months now and I’m well prepared for whatever style Kim brings to the ring. I’ve never seen her fight before, so I’m going to bring the action to her and see how she handles the pressure.”

NABF Lightweight Champion Jessica “Ragin” Rakoczy, 23-8 (10), battles Cindy “Checkmate” Serrano, 15-2-1 (7), in an eight round bout that is sure to catapult the winner into a major title fight.

“I feel real confident that I will prevail and add another win to my record, ” said Rakoczy. “Cindy is a great fighter, but I believe my experience will be the key to victory.”

Goossen Tutor Promotions, LLC and the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino are proud to be promoting this world title bout. For ticket information call the Tachi Palace at (559) 924-7751.
