Top Philadelphia Amateur Faatimah Balmer Seeks Opponent For Pro Debut

Philadelphia light welterweight, Faatimah “Tamika” Balmer, had her professional debut dreams shattered last night, when her fellow debutant Alexandra Madgziak withdrew from this weekend’s Peter Manfredo Sr. in association with Letʼs Get It On Promotions ʽDiamonds In The Roughʼ event in Dorchester, MA .

The normally sanguine Faatimah, who trains at the Fast Lane Gym in West Philadelphia, could not hide her disappointment as she passed the news on to her team today.

Faatimah is hoping that a new opponent at light welter or welterweight, can soon be found, as well as a replacement date and venue.
