Karo Murat defends the European Super Middle title against Spaniard Gabriel Campbillo on September 20 in Germany. This is likely to be a supporting bout to Mikkel Kessler vs Danilo Haussler. Murat can already be found at # 9 in WBA ratings.

Francesco Pianeta and Scott Gammer clash for the vacant European Union heavyweight title on August 30 in Berlin on the undercard to Nicolai Valuev vs John Ruiz 2. The bill will also feature super middle Mads Larsen as well as heavies Rene Dettweiler and Cengiz Koc.

After Jean Pascal pulled out, it will be Karoly Balszay and Jean Paul Mendy who fight for the WBO interim title. The fight is tentatively set for September 27 when Universum stage a big show – not yet officially confirmed – in Stuttgart with heavies Vladimir Virchis and Juan Carlos Gomez on top in a WBC eliminator.

Arena Box Promotion and Ahmet Oner states they left the German Federtation, the BDB, and didn´t have the license revoked as Bild Zeitung wrote.

It appears to be on: WBA Junior Welter champ Andreas Kotelnik defends the title against Japananese boxer Norio Kimura on September 13. Should all go well, Kotelinik will then face hard punching Argentinian Rene Maidana, who first has to beat Mexican Juan Carlos “Camel” Rodriguez on August 29 in Duesseldorf.

SES have now reschuled European Welter champ “Sugar” Jackson Osei Bonsu´s mandatory d efence against Slovenian Jan Zaveck for October 10 in Maribor.

The fight was first set for June but then Zaveck got injured and the fight was postponed. Jackson, in his turn, was then hoping to get his defence against Jan over with in August, make his debut in the US in September and then feature in a big fight – possible a WBC eliminator – at home in Antwerp November 11.

Finnish middle Amin Asikainen faces Argentinian Claudio Ariel Abaloson August 30 in Tampere. It´s a scheduled eight-rounder and is to be the final tuneup for an upcoming European title fight against Khoren Gevor.

Junior welter prospects Dennis Shafikov and Edis Tatli are featured on the undercard along with heavies Sami Elovaara, back after another injury related layoff, and Juha Haapoja. Asikainen vs Gevor have September 4 as deadline for purse bids or agreement.

The Aftrican Warrior, Evans Oure Ashira, pulls no punches in going after Danish promoter Robert Larsen. The disagreement stems from Ashira´s fight against Mamadou Thiam earlier this year, won by Evans on a sixth round KO.

Ashira claims he never was paid and it´s gone from there. The complete story – note: from Evans´ side – can be found at http://www.ashiraoure.com/news.htm.
