Last night at Sweeney’s in the Sydney suburb of Ingleburn, southpaw Filipino flyweight Danilo Lerio, 14-2-1 (4), won the vacant IBF Australasian belt when the ringside doctor stopped the action against Thai slugger Nuapayak Sakkriprin, 7-3-1 (7).
Lerio was ahead on the cards by wide margins when the bout was halted at 0:46 of the 11th frame in a scheduled 12 rounder.
Also on the bill was former two-time world featherweight title challenger Tommy Browne, 25-5-1 (10), who stopped Thailand’s Payakchai Sithparadorn, 11-8 (4), in the first round of a scheduled six at welterweight.
Ernie Gonzalez Jr., 4-2-1 (3), stopped Jerry Spandis, 1-3 (0), in the second frame of an eight rounder.
