Open Letter From Dmitriy Salita To Andreas Kotelnik:

By Dmitriy Salita

“See a cardiologist and then call me if you have a change of heart!”

I was told that Andreas Kotelnik would not be defending his WBA Junior Welterweight Championship against me because he injured a rib in his fight on September 13th. I then read on another website that he didn’t come to fight me in Madison Square Garden because he wasn’t offered enough money. Last week it was his rib, and this week it’s the money…

Andreas, make up your mind which excuse will be used not to take the fight. It is obvious to me that he doesn’t want to fight me. Everything that he asked for was agreed to by my promoter. The deal had been practically done before he even fought in the Ukraine, so to say the money wasn’t enough doesn’t make sense after the negotiations.

I am now focused on Willie Limond, 29-2, who is a tough fighter. I have geared up my preparations towards facing him on November 8th. If down the road Andreas sees his cardiologist and has a change of heart, call Square Ring and make the fight happen.
