Cestus Boxing: James DuBois In Action October 25

ByBoxing Press 15/10/2008

Cestus Management’s new signing, undefeated James “Quick Draw” Dubois will make his Cestus debut on October 25, 2008, at the Township Auditorium in Columbus, South Carolina. “Quick Draw” DuBois was a former Texas, National, and United States Armed Forces amateur boxing sensation and will be fighting on the undercard of the Standing 8 Productions “Explosion Over The Midlands” boxing event.

DuBois, 6-0, will take on South Carolina’s own Darryl Watson in a six round contest. The fight is sure to entertain the local boxing fans as DuBois is an immaculate, slick and mobile boxer with punching power in both fists, ready to make his Cestus Management debut in grand style .

“Quick Draw” had this to say about his pending battle, “My whole life, I’ve served the America people with loyalty and respect. From being a soldier in the U.S. Military to working full-time as a fireman for the San Antonio, Texas Fire Department, I have given myself to the great citizens of this great country. On October 25, I will also give myself to the great fans of Columbus, South Carolina, as they will witness a complete boxing clinic.

“I am so ready and confident in myself and now that I have Cestus Management guiding my career, I feel like an unstoppable powerhouse, the boxing world will soon witness the talent and abilities that I possess.”

Gina Iacovou, who manages DuBois, said, “We are thrilled that James that has become a Cestus Management fighter as he has real star potential and amazing boxing ability. When we were contacted by DuBois about possibly managing him and I sat down and watched some videos of his fights, I turned to Mike Michael and said ‘this guy can really fight’.

“Upon further review of his amateur background, I knew that James had all of the pedigree and talent needed to succeed in this sport. Cestus Management is proud to represent a man like James DuBois, a former U.S. Soldier and is now a Fireman and also an outstanding individual, who I know has a tremendous future in the boxing world.”

Cestus Management’s founder Mike Michael said of James, “DuBois is an amazing talent and has all of the ingredients of what it takes to be one of the top fighters in this business. His amateur resume speaks for itself as James was a highly decorated amateur boxer with great skills and awesome natural ability.

“I truly believe that James, who is undefeated in six fights, will be on the fast track to boxing’s highest levels now that we at Cestus Management are putting our winning formula behind him. So all that is left to say is: lock the doors and run for cover, because there will be a shoot out in South Carolina. James “Quick Draw” DuBois will prove that he is the fastest gun in town and is going to put on a hell of a performance.”

Don’t miss” Explosion Over The Midlands” on Fox Sports TV where the fight card will feature a fabulous line up with top ten world contender Jean Paul Mendy vs. Jason Naugler in the main event and Tarvis Simms vs Gabriel Rosado in the co-main event along with a whole host of electrifying undercard fights.

The clash between Spence and Tszyu had reportedly been lined up to take place in June. Tim did suffer a cut in his bout against Nurja, which could potentially delay proceedings. I am concerned that Spence has not fought for years now and having no warm up. This may show that he has not much left and cashing in. Tszyu secured a one-sided unanimous decision wi […]
