IBF Boxing Champ Steve Cunningham To Receive “Briscoe” Award In Philly

Philadelphia’s only current boxing world champion, Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham, is to be presented with a “Briscoe” award for 2007 Fighter of the Year. The presentation of the award will be made at World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, during a press conference to announce Cunningham’s upcoming title defense against Tomasz Adamek.

Cunningham was one of four Philly fighters nominated for the “Briscoe” and won based on votes cast by boxing fans, boxing media, and the readers of
the Web site PhillyBoxingHistory.com.
